Derrida: Nutcase or Genius?
Jacques Derrida is a famous philosopher and literary critic known for his promotion of the technique called deconstruction. Here is one philosophy professor’s opinion (name withheld as I didn’t ask permission):
“I am not qualified to answer since I never read him, just some stuff about him. My very uneducated view is that ‘nutcase’ is closer [than genius] but he is big in some places — perhaps more in literature departments than philosophy, except in Europe.”
