What the Dog Dragged In…
On August 17, 2006, the Kaukauna Police Department had the following incident: “Suspicious, report of a dog with what appears to be a human leg bone and a human rib bone found in the woods at the 600 block of Gertrude Street.”
What I find interesting about this is two-fold. On one hand, the obvious question is: what is the rest of the story? But on the other, why does a story like this only warrant a brief synopsis and not a full article? To me, this is the sort of thing that really grabs a city’s attention.
If more information becomes available (although now 5 months later nothing has) I will post it here. I think, most likely, the bones were deer. But who knows?
